We are jazzed to see 2,400,000 live on archive.org.

Developments:

OpenLibrary.org is a portal for books has relaunched ( http://openlibrary.org )

Lending Library is launched ( http://www.archive.org/post/312815/digital-lending-library )

1 Million books for the print disabled ( http://www.archive.org/post/305502/over-1-million-digital-books-now-available-free-to-the-print-disabled )

More books from china ( http://www.archive.org/details/universallibrary )

Lots more scanning going on.

onward!

all this is very interesting, but I have a question.
There are a few adult movies (yes, labeled as XXX or porn) that are apparently in the Public Domain.
Yesterday I tried to upload one of these here, it was removed since "porn" is not allowed in here.
I apologized, forgot to check the rules first.
But my question is: "Deep Throat", "Debbie Does Dallas" and some other titles are part of pop culture and were social phenomenons. If they are PD, where could they be uploaded (and I don't mean p2p networks, where they are probably already heavily shared)?
See also this legal case:

I like the rules in here but maybe there should be a small site elsewhere where a few of these materials could be loaded. Am I wrong?
:)
